Get out of your seat when taking calls.

Need more time to exercise? Here are a few easy and quick ways to sneak in exercise throughout the day.

When you have an abundant amount of responsibilities, I understand that it’s hard to find time to exercise – but I can assure you there is time if you look for it!

Whether you are a single mother of three under three, or a busy business owner, finding the time to exercise and devoting to it weekly is important for your health and wellbeing. So here is guide that may help you find more time to work out!

1. Good morning sunshine!

Wake up 10 minutes before your usual alarm and fit in a quick little routine to get your day started on the right track (and don’t worry, you don’t have to do this everyday!).

10 minute morning exercise routine

60 jumping jacks
10 push ups
30 squat jacks
10 burpees
20 lunges

Repeat 2-3 times

2. Take the long road

Need to go get some groceries?

No problem, make your mission to locate the furthest parking space possible and park there. Now you’ll get a nice walk up to the shops to get what you need, and look at that, that took almost no effort.

3. Lunch break at work

If you have a 30 minute lunch break at work, feel free to enjoy it by all means, but do it whilst you are standing.

Walk around the office while you’re eating or go outside for a stroll. Basically just keep moving!

Or you could even just quickly eat your lunch and then find some stairs and go up and down a few times!

4. Dance the housework

You may be home alone whilst doing this, so now it’s time to get a little silly!

Really exaggerate your moves whilst taking out the dishes, bend down to grab the plate and then swoop up and do a little spin.

Almost like creating your own little dance ritual. Not only is this good exercise, but it’s also fun. Give it a shot!

5. Plan ahead

Set yourself a 30-minute routine for one day and aim to get it all done – all at once, or throughout the day.

Split up a 30 minute routine

10 minutes in the morning just after waking up
5 minutes whilst your on call waiting for an appointment
15 minutes whilst you’re watching TV after dinner.

See how simple it can be?

All you have to do is make time, and challenge yourself to stick to it!

Hopefully this guide has given you a few little nifty ideas on time management for exercise.

Feel free to leave a comment and share your ideas around for the other busy bees out there!
